Website proofreading service
Having a website that is technically sound and interesting, looks pleasing
to the eye and has good content is not the end of the story. The final
issue is to make sure that after the content has been uploaded, your
pages are typographically correct.
Surveys have found that people do not trust, or will not buy from, businesses
that use poor spelling or grammar. The margin between using words to good
effect, or damaging a reputation, can be very small indeed. Is this a risk
you want to take, especially if you are planning to generate revenue from
your website, or would you rather protect your investment?
We offer a professional proofreading service, to check that the words your
visitors see do not contain unintended errors. Every page is checked to
make sure that all the words are correct in terms of grammar, spelling,
consistency, typography and punctuation (including checking that apostrophes
are where they should be and, just as important, that they are not where
they shouldn’t be).
For a website of around a dozen single-screen pages, the cost of a proofreading
report is £120.00 plus VAT. For smaller or larger numbers of pages, or
for complex content, we shall be happy to provide a site-specific fixed-price
quote.
